Now that you know what you want to achieve for your business, who your target audience is, what budget you will be working with and which advertising methods you will be using, it’s time to finalize your marketing plan by creating your ad content. Your ad content should attract your target audience’s attention to your products or business.

Many businesses sell a variety of products or services, all of which are impossible to mention in one ad. Choose one or two products or services as the main focus of your ad. Your choices should be based on what will appeal most to your target audience.

Besides the product or service, what are you really selling? Are you selling beauty, relaxation or a fun time? For example, if you sell spa products, you’re selling a way of relaxation. It’s important to implement that way of thinking into your ad content to create a larger appeal.

Next, make your customers the focus of your ads. Don’t use me or I. Stick to using pronouns like you and yours so the customer knows the product or service you are promoting will benefit them.

Think of one or two emotional adjectives that best describe the product or service. Still using spa products as an example, you could use words like tranquility or relaxation. A good tip is not to saturate your ad content with too many emotional adjectives.

Make sure you add one to three keywords in your ad content. Keep your advertising theme consistent, making your business and products instantly recognizable over time. It’s important to keep your ad content up to date and don’t be afraid to make adjustments when the holidays roll around.

Once your ads are up and running, monitor them on a daily basis for the first few weeks. You need to see which ads are effective and which ones aren’t.

Make any adjustments needed and keep monitoring them. You can hire an advertising management service to do this for you or use a separate sales code for each ad.
